Adjunct Therapies
These Modalities are used in conjunction with your acupuncture treatment.
Manual Electro-Stimulation - Stimulation of acupuncture and Ashi points with the aid of a point activity measuring and location finder . It is used to assess and treat the various imbalances that may otherwise go undetected.
Cupping -cupping is a therapy used to unblock congested areas by using different sized suction cups that facilitate the circulation to the surface of the skin allowing for a healing response . (used if necessary)
Infrared Heat Lamp - A device that emits infrared energy treating ailments such as minor joint pains and soft tissue injuries.
Auricular Therapy - The stimulation of acupoints along the ear through the use of needles, electro stimulation and ear seeds for pain and stress management, weight loss and stop smoking.
Acupressure [Tui Na]- is a manual stimulation of the acupuncture and ashi (pain) points.
This affects the circulation of the Qi (energy movement) and blood in the body. It also increases functional effectiveness.
Moxibustion - Moxa is an ancient form of heat therapy wich utilizes the ground up leaves of the plant Mugwort (Artemesia vulgaris).
This therapy is paired up with acupuncture to conduct heat down to the muscles through the needles. It sore joints or muscle cramps.
